ASCO's Coding Tip of the Month

The Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently released their Proposed Rules for 2026 relating to the Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) and the Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS). These rules indicate the changes Medicare is proposing for policies and reimbursement in both the physician office and hospital outpatient settings.

To understand the implications for oncology, ASCO released ASCO in Action articles on both the PFS Proposed Rule and the OPPS Proposed Rule. Additional resources are forthcoming.
